BARC Mechanical Actual Interview Questions & Experience

I am happy to share my experience of BARC Mechanical interview question.
My panel consisted of five members, with the chairman in the center. Initially, they asked me about myself and also took a brief intro, After that, they said, "Write your favorite subjects." I wrote SOM, thermodynamics, FM, RAC, and IC.So, they started with SOM question. So, they start with SOM question.

1. First, they asked to write assumptions in bending equation..

As I wrote, they asked


2. What do you mean by homogeneous and isotropic material .


3. And then they asked another question, “What are the number of independent elastic constants for homogeneous & isotropic materials?”

Now they changed the topic and then asked


4. What do you mean by poison’s ratio"?


5. What is the range of poison’s ratio?


6. What is the range for engineering materials?


7. If u=1/2 then Bulk modulus is?

Now they went to the basics and just asked me


8. What are the differences between the centroidal axis and longitudinal axis?


9. How do you decide the longitudinal and lateral directions?

Now again, they asked


10. What do you mean by beam, column, and strut?

Now they gave me conditional-based questions


11. If a bar is subjected to eccentric axial tensile loading, what are the stresses on the top and bottom fibers?


12. If we consider teeth of gear which transfer power from one tooth to another tooth, then what are the forces subjected by the tooth please explain with the help of diagram.

Now they switch to the material properties question, in which they ask and draw it


13. What do you mean by resilience?


14. What is the difference b/w proof resilience & modulus of resilience?


15. What do you mean by toughness?


16. What do you mean by stiffness?


17. What is axial rigidity & its significance?


18. What is torsional rigidity & its significance?


19. What is flexural rigidity & its significance?

So, guys, these are the actual BARC interview experience questions, which basically focused on the basics. Try to go into basic, and another question came from the previous one. I hope this will help you prepare for mechanical interview preparation for BARC as well as in another exam.
