BARC Interview Guidance

The interview panel at BARC asks questions from the following subjects: Network Theory, EDC, Digital, Controls, and Analog circuits, Electromagnetic field theory, communication system and signal and system . The panel will ask questions specifically related to these subjects, but they will go into great detail. This depth of questioning can focus on either theoretical or practical applications of the subject matter. Therefore, be prepared for unexpected and challenging questions. The panel is known to be very supportive and will offer hints to guide you. If you are able to articulate your ideas effectively and possess a strong understanding of the subject matter, then you have a good chance of succeeding.

  1. First member asked me about my Native place and as I told him, he asks me about geographical location of my place.

  2. Next, question he asked me about my favourite subject. I told him three subjects from ECE. Which include signal and system, Digital Electronics, Semi-conductor Device. Then he asks me to add 2 more subject. I asked control system and Network Theory.

  3. The first question they ask about % voltage regulation as I answered then they ask how we can improve voltage regulation. Can we use diode as voltage regulator. What is difference between voltage regulation using diode and Zener diode.

  4. Define various type of Gain associated with transistor. I defined voltage gain and current gain. How can you improve the current gain of transistor. Can we use BJT as current source and I said yes then he tells me to design 2A, 50 current source. As I was knowing about current mirror and I discussed this all to them.

  5. Next, they ask me about one application about PD, PI and PID controller as I was trying to explain them Mathematically but they were expecting me to give practical example and they also assisted me that can you think of like lift or elevator. Which control system is employed in these practical examples.

  6. Next, they ask me about, draw the circuit diagram for a 4-bit flash convertor with BCD output and resolution 0.1 volt. Assume that a (+5V) precision supply Is available. As I was not able to design, they try to assist me., they interrupted me and ask about do you have BCD Idea?
