Environmental General Knowledge is an important topic in the written exam of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and is mentioned in the recently released detailed syllabus. CPCB is going to conduct exams for various posts such as Scientist ‘B’, assistant law officer, assistant account officer, senior scientific assistant, technical supervisor, assistant, account assistant, junior technician, senior laboratory assistant, upper division clerk, data entry operator, junior lab assistant, lower division clerk, field attendant and multitasking staff. Environmental General Knowledge is a crucial part of the syllabus mentioned for each of these categories. Though environmental general knowledge is not specifically mentioned for the post of Scientist ‘B’ and assistant law officer posts, it will be asked in the exams under current issues related to the environment.
