Importance of Group Discussion
Group Discussion (GD) is one of the most important domains for the last stage of recruitment, which we call an interview. Though interview consists of other domains also like HR, Psychometric, technical rounds etc but GD has its own relevance. GD is done is a group typical of 7 to 8 candidates. There are two main kinds of topics asked in GD:
• Static
• Current

Static topics remain more or less same and candidates can revise these on the basis of previous years topics. These can be generic topics, philosophical, proverbial etc
Current topics are related to the developments happening in the current. These current issues can further be divided into sub categories like political, economic, Science & Technology, geopolitical, international, etc
GD is important part of recruitment process of numerous organizations going for campus placements in various colleges as well as the recruitment of PSUs. If you are preparing to get into really good jobs, then you need to prepare well to pass this stage of group discussion. There can be different formats of GD. Typical GD has three stages:
Introduction (How to start GD)
• Body part of discussion with other candidates (How to enter in GD)
• Conclusion (How to conclude GD)
