Jaxay Shah Chairman Quality Council of India provided some inputs to students through his tweets when the preliminary exam for the post of Examiner Patent and Design under Controller general Patent Design and trade marking (CGPDTM) was cancelled in September and later the information was provided that the exam will now be re conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) instead of Quality Council of India.

“Some Irregularities/ Technical Glitches have been observed in the Online Examination Conducted on 3rd September 2023 for recruitment of Examiners of Patents & Designs (Group ‘A’ officers) for the Office of CGPDTM”.
“The Competent Authority has decided to cancel the examination to ensure fairness, credibility and transparency in the said recruitment process. The new schedule for examination shall be announced in due course”.

“Following discussions with CGPDTM, the competent authority has decided that the Preliminary Examination for the recruitment of Examiners for Patents & Designs (Group A officers) at the Office of CGPDTM will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Further details regarding the examination will be shared by NTA in the coming days”.

National Testing Agency (NTA)

Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trademarks (CGPDTM)

Prelim of Examiner Patent Design and Trade Marking Cancelled
Preliminary for the post of Examiner Patent Design and Trade Marking conducted by Quality Council of India for Controller General Patent Design and Trade Marking was conducted on September 3, 2023 but due to mismanagement at couple of centers was cancelled. Many students are asking when will the exam be re conducted.
